How to Wave Text

"Wave Text" arranges the characters in the text along a wave-shaped path. Like the "Circle Text" function, "Wave Text" is also a special case of putting text on path. The path in it have a wavy pattern.

1Select Text Object

If you haven't created text yet, you need to use the Text tool provided by Logo Designer Pro to create a text object. If the text is not selected, remember to use the Selection Tool to select the text object. It should be noticed that Logo Designer Pro only supports the waving operation of one text object at a time, so be sure to select only one text object. In addition, if the text object is already on another path, please click the "Remove from Path" toolbar button to detach the text object and then perform this operation.

2Use Predefined Waved Paths

After clicking the "Wave Text" toolbar button, you can see 16 preset waved styles in the pop-up drop-down box. These preset settings cover most commonly used operations during design. When using it, just place the mouse on an item and you can preview the changed text on the canvas. If a certain style better meets your design needs, just click on the preset item with the mouse.

3Use Custom Waved Paths

If the preset waved style does not meet your needs, click the "Custom" button below to enter the customization process. In the customized dialog box, almost all options are available. During the process of setting variables, you can preview what the text will look like after the change. Once you have the optimal settings, click the "OK" button to confirm.

  • Mode: There are two modes. Mode 1 determines that the path starts to jump upward and then goes down after reaching the peak, while mode 2 determines that the path starts to jump downward and reaches the trough before going upward.
  • Frequence: The frequency of up and down fluctuations. The larger the value, the faster the rise and fall.
  • Amplification: Expressed as the amplitude of the fluctuation. It is expressed as a percentage of the original height of the text. The larger the value, the greater the height of the peaks and troughs.

Tip: Finally, it should be noted that when the text is arranged along an waved curve, some characters overlap each other in places with relatively large curvature. At this time, you may need to adjust the spacing between characters according to the actual situation.
