How to Draw Shapes

About Basic Shape Tool

No matter how complex the designed logo graphics are, in essence, they are composed of many simple vector graphics. Logo Designer Pro provides such a drawing tool as Basic Shape Tool. Using it, you can easily and quickly draw basic shapes like rectangles, ellipses, arcs, polygons, stars, spirals, etc. on the canvas. With these basic graphs, more complex graphs can be achieved by union, clipping, intersecting , and combining operations.

Draw Basic Shapes

On the Main Ribbon Bar , switch to the "Edit" category. Find the "Basic Shape Tool" tool button on the "Edit Tools" panel. Clicking the icon Baisc Shape Tool Icon will make the Basic Shape Tool the currently active drawing tool. In the options list box on the right, you will see a series of preseted basic graphics. From left to right are rectangles, ellipses, polygons, stars, spirals, etc. As shown in the screenshot below.

Select a basic shape in the list box, and follow the link below to draw the corresponding shape.

Replace Shape quickly

Using the Basic Shape Tool can also quickly switch between different basic shapes. For example, turn the selected rectangle into an ellipse, a polygon into a star, etc. Follow the steps below:

  • Use the Selection Tool to select those basic shape objects that their shapes will be replaced with others. The main thing here is that only those basic shape objects can be quickly replaced. For Path Objects, Basic Shape Tool cannot be used for rapid replacement.
  • Click the Basic Shape Tool icon and move the mouse to the list box in the options bar on the right. Click the drop-down button to expand the entire list box. Move the mouse to the corresponding shape, and all the selected basic graphics on the canvas will be transformed into the selected shape as a preview. Click a selected basic shape in the list box, and all the selected shapes in the canvas can be turned into the desired shape.
Replace Shapes with Basic Shape Tool
