How to edit texts in EximiousSoft ePage Creator ?

If you want to edit a text or paragraph. The first you need move the mouse to the text object, Then double-click on the text. Now you will see a flashing caret in the text. It means you can edit the text freely. Similar reasoning, when editing text, you usually need to select edit characters, By clicking to select a start character, then hold the mouse pressed, drag the mouse to select all the characters you want to edit. After the selection, you can edit and modify the character through one or more of the following:

  • - Click the font list box,select an appropriate font to set font for all selected characters.
  • - Click the font size list box,click to select an appropriate font size for all selected characters.
  • - Click the "Bold" toolbar button to make the selection Bold (toggle).
  • - Click the "Italic" toolbar button to make the selection Italic (toggle).
  • - Click the "Underline" toolbar button to format the selection with a continuous line(toggle).
  • - Click "Strikethrough" button to draw a line through the middle of the selected texts (toggle).

How to select one or more objects at a same time?

In EximiousSoft ePage Creator, an object maybe means a text, shape, image or a group object. If you want to edit one, it is need to select it at first. The multiple objects are allowed to be selected at the same time in ePage Creator.The standard Windows multiple-selection shortcuts of Ctrl+click and Shift+click is supported by the program. Two ways are offered for selecting objects.

In Edit View, each visible object is shown as it should be. When an object is selected, the handles for rotation and resize the object are shown around it, but none for the unselected one.for example, see following screenshot,The left object is selected, but right one is not.



Click: click the left mouse button on the object you want in Edit View, then the previous selected objects become unselected while the clicked one is selected.

Click + Shift: press the Shift key and keep it down, click with the left mouse button on the object you want in Edit View, then the clicked object is selected and add it to selected objects list.

Click + Ctrl: press the Ctrl key and keep it down, click with the left mouse button on the object you want in Edit View. If the object is selected already, then it will be become unselected, otherwise it is selected after it is clicked.

How to add a text or an image into publicaiton?

Add Text: Open "Edit" category and then click "Add Text" toolbar button on main ribbon bar, then click on the editing page where the text is started, keep the left mouse button is pressed, and move mouse button untill desired size. Release the mouse button, you can get a text box with a flashing caret, now it can be typed any texts freely.

Add Image: Open "Edit" category and then click "Add Image" toolbar button on main ribbon bar. It opens Windows open dialog which prompts you to select an image file for adding.

How to insert shapes or videos into publicaiton?

Go to "Edit" category, pointer to the "Insert Shape" panel, It can be found some presetd shapes here, such as Rectangle, Oval, Round Rectangle,Line and Arrow etc. While click "Add Videos" toolbar button, It enables you to insert videos into publication.

Select a shape, drag the pointer across the editing page to draw it until the desired size is reached, then release mouse button.

Open "Edit" category and then click "Add Video" toolbar button on main ribbon bar. It opens Windows open dialog which prompts you to select a video file for adding the movie to publictions.

How to group the selected shape or text objects?

(1) Switch to "Selection" mode if not, then select the shape or text objects which you want to group.

(2) Open "Home" category in main ribbon bar, then go to "Arrangement" sub-category. Click "Group" tool button and then choose "Group" sub-menu item. Which group all selected object together so that they are can be treated as a single object.

Notice: If you want to ungroup an group object, please select "Group-->Ungroup" menu item.

How to change Z-Order of the selected texts, shapes or images ?

Z-Order is to move elements in the z-axis , what that means is that you can move an object to the front or to the back of another objects. Think of a pile of books, placed vertically, the 1st one at the bottom, the 2nd one on top the 1st one, the 3rd one on top of the 2nd one and so on. Now you want to move, say, the 8th book below the 7th book. So you need to change the Z-Order. In EximiousSoft ePage Creator, the objects are placed in the same way and each object has a unique z-index in the stacking order.
You can change the stacking level of any element, as you can do to the pile of books. The commands Move to Front/Back/One Step Front/One Step Back help you change the stacking order, as described below.

  • Move to Front: choose "Arrangement" category and click "Move to Front" menu item to move the selected object(s) totally on top of all other elements.
  • Move Forward: choose "Arrangement" category and click "Move Forward" menu item to move the selected object(s) just above the object(s) which is/are on top of it/them.
  • Move Backward: choose "Arrangement" category and click "Move Backward" menu item to move the selected object(s) just below the object(s) which is/are just behind it/them.
  • Move to Back: choose "Arrangement" category and click "Move to Back" menu item to move the selected object(s) at the bottom of all other objects.

How to change Order of the selected pages in publication?

In the Ribbon toolbar "Edit" category, click the following menu items to adjust the pages position of in the publication.

  • Move to first: move the selected pages to front in publication.
  • Move Previously: move the selected pages one position forward in publication.
  • Move Next: move the selected pages move back one position in publication.
  • Move to last: move the selected pages to the last position in publication.

How to draw a unique shape by using EximiousSoft ePage Creator?

ePage Creator offers Custom Shape Tool to draw your own shapes.

Open "Edit" category from main ribbon bar, and then click "Custom Shape" toolbar button.

Position the Custom Shape Tool where you want the segment to begin:

Draw straight line segment


(1) Click to define the started anchor point (do not drag).

(2) Click again where you want the segment to end.

Draw curve line segment


(1) Position the Pen tool where you want the curve to begin, and hold down the mouse button and drag. The started anchor point and started direction line appears.

(2) Drag to set the slope of the curve segment you’re creating, and then release the mouse button.

Note: In general, extend the direction line about one third of the distance to the next anchor point you plan to draw. (You can adjust one or both sides of the direction line later.

(3) Position the Custom Shape Tool where you want the curve segment to end, and do one of the following:

▪ To create an C shaped curve, drag in a direction opposite to the previous direction line, then release the mouse button.

▪ To create an S‑shaped curve, drag in the same direction as the previous direction line, then release the mouse button.

How to add or delete anchor points from a path?

Add Anchor Points


Adding anchor points can give you more control over a path, or it can extend an open path. However, it is a good idea not to add more points than necessary. A path with fewer points is easier to edit, display, and print. You can reduce the complexity of a path by deleting unnecessary points.


  • (1) Open "Edit" category in main ribbon bar,and then click "Add Anchor" tool button.

  • (2) Click to select the shape its path is you want to modify.

  • (3) Position the pointer over the path segment, and click to complete adding an anchor point.


Delete Anchor Points


  • (1) Open "Edit" category from main ribbon bar,and then click "Delete Anchor" tool button.

  • (2) Click to select the shape its path is you want to modify.

  • (3) Position the pointer over the anchor point,and click to complete deleting the anchor point.
How to reshape or edit a path for a shape?

(1) Open "Edit" category from main ribbon bar,and then click "Move Anchor" tool button.

(2) Before you can reshape or edit a path, you need to select the path's anchor points, segments, or a combination of both.
Note: If you can not see the points, you need click the shape to select it which you want to modify its path.then click to select the anchor point you want to move.

(3) Click to select the shape its path is you want to modify.

(4) Position the Move Anchor Tool over the anchor point you want to convert, and do one of the following:

Move straight segment Move straight segment
Adjust direction hold Shift key Adjust direction point generally

Move straight segments

You can edit a path segment at any time, but editing existing segments is slightly different from drawing them. Keep the following tips in mind when editing segments:

If an anchor point connects two segments, moving that anchor point always changes both segments.


  • (1) With the Move Anchor Tool, select the segment you want to adjust.

  • (2) Drag the segment's anchor point to its new position.

Adjust the length or angle of straight segments


  • (1) With the Move Anchor Tool, select an anchor point on the segment you want to adjust.

  • (2) Drag the anchor point to the desired position

Adjust curve segments

With the Move Anchor Tool, select a curved segment, or an anchor point on either end of the curved segment. Direction lines appear, if any are present, Do any of the following:


  • ▪ To adjust the position of the segment, drag the segment's anchor points.

  • ▪ To adjust the shape of the segment on either side or both sides of a selected anchor point, drag the anchor point or the direction point.
