On the Main Ribbon Bar, switch to the "Edit" category. Find the "Basic Shape Tool" tool button on the "Edit Tools" panel. Clicking the icon Baisc Shape Tool Icon will make the Basic Shape Tool the currently active drawing tool. In the options list box on the right, you will see a series of preseted basic graphics.Please select a suitable ellipse/arc style in the third column from the left for subsequent drawing. 2Draw Polygon by Drag

Move the mouse on the canvas near the position of the polygon to be drawn. Click the left mouse button, the position will become the center point of the polygon. Keeping the mouse pressed down, drag the mouse until the polygon has the desired size. Release the left mouse button to end the process.

3Adjust Size & Vertex Position if Needs

When you have finished drawing a polygon on the canvas, you can still adjust the size and vertex position of the polygon. Like the Selection Tool, before you adjust, you need to use the mouse to click to select the polygon to be adjusted. Unlike the Selection Tool, the Star Tool does not support multiple selection, that is, only one polygon or star object can be selected at a time. If you select other types of objects such as text, paths, or other basic shapes (rectangle, arc, spiral, etc.), you need to double-click to activate the corresponding editing tool to adjust them. You can adjust the size of the polygon by Drag.

When a polygon is selected, a rhombus-shaped anchor point will appears at the vertex position of the polygon. They are used to adjust the size or vertex position of the polygon. As shown below. Move the mouse over the anchor point, and when it is highlighted, click the anchor point, then keep the mouse pressed, Drag the mouse until the polygon has the most desired size or the vertices to the most suitable position, and then release the left mouse button to end.

4Adjust Corners, Roundness and Randmization

Business Card Designer Pro provides several options to set or adjust the polygon. Including Corners, Roundness and Randmization. As shown below.

Business Card Creation - Draw Polygon Options

  • Corners: Used to set the number of sides of a polygon.
    Business Card Creation - Hexagon Business Card Creation - Quadrilateral Business Card Creation - Hexagon
    Corners = 6 Corners = 4 Corners = 10
  • Roundness: An arc is defined to connect two adjacent edges at the vertex. The range of Roundness is 0 to 1. The larger the value set, the larger the radius corresponding to the arc, and the smoother the junction of adjacent edges. The opposite is the opposite.
    Business Card Creation - Polygon Roundness = 0 Business Card Creation - Polygon Roundness = 0.5 Business Card Creation - Polygon Roundness = 1.0
    Roundness = 0 Roundness = 0.5 Roundness = 1.0
  • Randmization: By default, each side of a polygon is the same length. It is a regular polygon. After Randmization is set, the length of each side becomes randomized. The larger the value is set, the greater the difference between the length of the side and the side. When the length of the side of the polygon changes, the corresponding internal angle will also change.
